Educational purpose only

Everything on Heart Simplified — articles, report walkthroughs, tables, FAQs — is general education about how heart reports work. It describes what terms and numbers usually mean across patients. It cannot tell you what they mean for you, because that depends on your history, your examination, your other reports and your treatment — none of which a website can see.

Not medical advice, and no doctor–patient relationship

Reading this site does not make you Dr Kunal Patankar's patient, and nothing here is a diagnosis, a prescription, or individual medical advice. Never start, stop, or change a medicine because of something you read here — or anywhere else online. Take the question to your treating doctor instead; a good question is exactly what these articles are meant to help you ask.

Emergencies

If you have chest pain or pressure right now, severe breathlessness, fainting, or a sense that something is seriously wrong — stop reading and call 108 or 112 (India's emergency numbers) or go to the nearest hospital emergency department. No website, this one included, has any role in an emergency.

Accuracy, dates and change

Medicine moves. Every article shows when it was published, last updated, and last medically reviewed, and cites the guidelines it relies on. Between reviews, a guideline may change before the article does. The citations are there so you — or your doctor — can always check the source directly.

Articles link out to the guidelines and studies they cite, so you or your doctor can check any claim at its source. Nothing on this site links to a clinic, a practice or a booking page — including the author's own. Linked sites are responsible for their own content.
